4 Year Olds
Our 4 year old students are trained in a structured learning environment to follow directions and work independently to be fully prepared to move up to Kindergarten. Our rigorous 4 year old program uses the Abeka Language curriculum to set strong foundations in phonics, reading and writing.
Phonics
The K4 language curriculum promotes early reading through phonemic awareness. Students are introduced to letter sounds and blends throughout the year.
Writing
Daily work with hand writing and tracing supports proper letter formation and strong penmanship. Students practice writing their name, the alphabet letters, and numbers 1-10.
Mathematics
Our K4 classroom utilizes the Singapore Math PreK curriculum. Students are working towards building their number recognition, and identifying patterns and sequences that will prepare them for math operations in elementary.
Specials and Extra-Curriculars
Music
Children have a great interest in music at a young age. Exposure to different sounds, rhythms and patterns help the child to prepare for mathematics and language. Music and Movement also encourages children to build better hand-eye coordination, and strengthen the fine and gross motor skills.
